Candidate bulletins

16 December 2009:
The office of the LNAT Consortium will be closed from Thursday 24 December 2009 to Monday 4 January 2010 (inclusive), re-opening on Tuesday 5 January 2010. This closure affects the processing of bursary and voucher applications, the approval of examination access requirements, and the handling of complaints. There is no effect on the booking or sitting of LNAT tests.

05 October 2009:
Postal delivery is likely to be disrupted by continuing strike action by postal workers in the UK. Candidates who are submitting applications for LNAT bursaries or vouchers, or requests for special exam access arrangements, and who will be affected by this disruption, are advised to send their documents by email or fax.

(1) By email – documents in pdf format only can be sent to voucher[at]lnat[dot]ac[dot]uk. Please note that if you send documents in a format that we can’t open it will delay your application.

(2) By fax – send documents marked for the attention of the LNAT Administrator to 0117 925 1870.  Please write your name in the top right hand corner of each separate sheet. Mislaid or missing documents will delay your application.

Candidates paying for LNAT vouchers by cheque: If you are unable to send your cheque because of the postal strike, you can still submit your voucher application. Alternatively, you can pay by internet bank transfer by following the instructions on the LNAT voucher application form.

If you have already posted documents to LNAT but have had no response after 7 working days of the date of posting, we suggest that you email the LNAT Administrator on voucher[at]lnat[dot]ac[dot]uk.

If you have any queries you can email the LNAT Administrator on voucher[at]lnat[dot]ac[dot]uk.

25 August 2009:
Test centres in India and Pakistan no longer have the special  booking rules that applied in previous years. Test appointments in India and Pakistan can now be booked online in the normal way. (Please note that this change does not affect the Pearson VUE payment card acceptance rules. Pakistan-billed credit and debit cards still cannot be used for payment. India-billed credit and debit cards remain fully usable as before.)

25 March 2009:
The LNAT Consortium has become aware of a small number of incidents this year in which candidates have revealed part of the content of their LNAT test (invariably one of the essay topics) to friends, and in one case more broadly via the internet. Candidates are reminded that they enter into a legally binding non-disclosure agreement when they sit the LNAT. This prohibits any disclosure of LNAT contents, even to friends. When disclosures are detected the Con sortium takes vigorous action, including the action of informing the universities to which the offending candidate has applied that he or she has broken the LNAT terms. (Those to whom unlawful disclosures are made may also like to note that the LNAT is reconfigured at every sitting, and hence the information you receive, even if true, cannot be relied upon. Questions discovered to be compromised are also discontinued.)
